The Xboxing of Musculoskeletal Therapy
In his talk at the recent University of Pennsylvania Connected Health Symposium, Reflexion Health CEO Spencer Hutchins demonstated how the company has harnessed the Microsoft Kinect system as a new form of telemedicine for musculoskeletal disorders. Kinect is the motion-detecting camera device original designed for Microsoft's Xbox gaming system. For patients, it provides the fun-like experience of "performing" on screen with an avatar coach who analyzes their techniques and progress.
